Our Lugol's iodine is alcohol free, gluten free and free of shellfish as it is derived from mined minerals in the USA. This is a very high quality iodine source, using the traditional 1837 chemical formula Americans trust and have used for nearly 200 years. It contains no artificial chemicals or preservatives, simply water, potassium iodide and iodine, it is excellent for daily use and the purest iodine supplement available. 

There are approximately 1200 vertical drops per 2 oz. bottle, the convenient dropper makes it easy to precisely measure for a variety of uses.  Traditionally Lugol's iodine was  also used as a disinfectant, it can be utilized as a water purifier, simply add 3 to 6 drops per liter of water.

Lugol's iodine can stain fabrics and some countertops/floors/grout, so please use care when using this product. It can temporarily stain skin, this staining should disappear within a few hours as the iodine evaporates or is absorbed into the skin. As a supplement I use 5 to 10 drops in water, consult with your health care practitioner if you have concerns or questions regarding the use of Lugol's iodine as a supplement.
