Happy February!

January is GONE! Can you believe it? For those of you who are revamping their lives with better eating habits and exercise I hope you're reaping the benefits of your hard work, the dividends are truly great and will help you maintain a youthful appearance.

Cosmetics are extremely helpful in preventing and reversing the signs of ageing, though what you consume will absolutely help in the battle to turn back the clock. One of the best things you can do to help collagen production is to eat COLOR! The brightly colored vegetables do wonderful things for your skin, you should definitely be incorporating them into your daily meals. Fresh raw vegetables added to your meal will help supply enzymes and vitamins that are cooked out with heating, they are used more efficiently by your body for fuel and repair. My experience is that the more fresh vegetables I eat the better sleep I get, and who can't use a great night's sleep? Our bodies manufacture hormones while we sleep, and we also heal in our sleeping hours so it's imperative that we get our 6-8 hours of uninterrupted down time. As we age, our digestion becomes compromised, and our digestion is where we extract nutrients from our food. I take a digestive enzyme with ox bile with every meal, it helps me get the most from my food, the ox bile helps our gall bladder process the fats we consume. Food represents vitamins our incredibly wise bodies need to function, repair and replace worn cells, and give us energy to get us through the day. Eating raw cabbage at one meal a day will help with digestion, fermented vegetables are also a great addition to any health regimen-kimchi or raw sauerkraut are excellent choices. You can make your own kimchi, if you're into that, it's super easy and takes 7 to 10 days to fully ferment. Oh, before I forget, for those of you who have difficulty sleeping like myself, I have a lot going on and my mind does not like to shut down at night, I have some help for you! Lithium Orotate is a supplement you can buy that our brain needs, especially when under a lot of stress (and who isn't these days?).
